A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman is a moving and often funny novel about a grumpy, rule-bound man whose carefully ordered life changes when new neighbours arrive. Beneath Ove’s stern exterior is a story about grief, friendship and the unexpected ways people become part of one another’s lives.
